SECTION 2 – Children Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online. As stated in the Terms of Use, we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 years old. We understand and respect the importance of this Act (COPPA). Anyone under the age of 13 years old is not permitted to register for our Services, purchase an order or send any personal information to us. If we are made aware that we collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will quickly delete any information we have for that child. SECTION 4 – Personally Identifiable Information

We receive and store any information you knowingly give us. When you sign up or register to use our Services, set up user account and profile, place an order, comment on posts, sign-up to receive the newsletter, or request any other Services from us. For example, when you sign-up for an account or process an order, you may be asked for your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information, or other details. We may also collect third-party account information when you access our Site via your third-party site or account, for example, your log-in credentials for social media accounts or other third-party sites. If you have provided your email address to us and agreed to receive messages from us, we may send you promotional email offers on behalf of other businesses and emails regarding your use of our Services. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services. SECTION 10 – Opting Out

We use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the web, or when you use certain other site features to:

Additionally, if you sign into the Services through a third party social networking site or service, your list of “friends” from that site or service may be automatically imported to the Services, and such “friends,” if they are also registered users of the Services, may be able to access certain non-public information you have entered in your Services user profile. SECTION 14 – Google Ad-Sense

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and other sites on the internet. DART uses “non personally identifiable information” and does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, etc.

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies), third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding your interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.

SECURITY AND PROTECTION

SECTION 17 – How We Protect Your Information

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site. But, we make no assurances about our ability to prevent any such loss, misuse, to you or any third third-party arising out of any such loss, misuse, or alteration.

SECTION 18 – Security and Scanning

We use regular malware scanning. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. All sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Sensitive and private data exchange between our Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

We implement a variety of security measures when you place an order, enter, submit, or access your information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.  It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Once that transaction is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

SECTION 19 – California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website, stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared. According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our site anonymously.
  • Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can be easily be found on the page specified above.
  • Users will notified of any Privacy Policy changes by viewing the “UPDATED” date posted on our Privacy Policy Page.
  • Users can change their personal information by emailing us or by logging into their account.

SECTION 20 – Fair Information Practice Principles

The Fair Information Practice Principles (FIPP) form the backbone of privacy law in the United States.  The concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical in comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. In order to be in line with FIPP, we will notify you via email (if email address has been provided by you) and via in-Site notice on the homepage within 7 business days should a data breach occur.

SECTION 21 – Individual Redress Principle

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

SECTION 22 – CAN-SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, giving you the right to have emails stopped from being sent to you, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect a your email address in order to:
